Artifacts of the Mind

Artifacts of the Mind is a small, independent research-curation studio. Our whole job is one sentence long: we take complex, peer-reviewed psychology and sleep research — the kind nobody can read at 11 pm — and turn it into simple protocols that are easy to understand and easy to actually run on a real evening.

We exist because of a gap. On one side, an ocean of self-help: warm, well-meaning, and mostly unsupported. On the other, the actual science: thousands of studies written in language built for journals, not for tired people. Someone has to stand in the middle, read the papers, keep what's proven, cut what isn't, and design the rest into something you can follow tonight. That's us.

The three tests

Everything we publish has to pass three tests before it reaches you.

It must be grounded in published, peer-reviewed research — with every source cited openly on the product page and inside the guide itself, so you never have to take our word for anything.

It must be drug-free and zero-risk — behavior first, always. No pills, no supplements, nothing that works on you.

And it must survive a real evening — real kitchens, real kids, real exhaustion. If a method only works in a lab or a monastery, we don't publish it.

What we are — and what we're not

One thing we'll always be honest about: we're not doctors, and we don't pretend to be. We're curators and translators. Every claim in our work links back to the study it came from — which is more than most of this industry can say, and exactly the standard we think you deserve. Where a situation needs a clinician, our guides say so plainly.

An artifact is a small thing, made with care, that outlasts its maker. That's what we try to build — for your mind.
